TYPES OF BUSINESS VISAS IN INDONESIA

Visa on arrival

If the applicant plans to stay in Indonesia for less than 30 days, he can apply for a visa upon arrival.

Just once can the 30-day visa on arrival be renewed at the Indonesian Immigration Office. A return ticket is necessary, and the passport must be valid for at least another six months.

Single-entry business visa

A single-entry business visa has a maximum stay period of 60 days.

The applicant should apply for this kind of visa at the Indonesian Embassy abroad. The single-entry visa can be extended five times by submitting an application to Indonesia’s immigration authorities. The applicant cannot extend the single-entry visa if he departs Indonesia after it has expired and must instead apply for a new one.

Multiple-entry business visa

The Indonesian Immigration Office issued the multiple-entry business visa, which has a maximum 12-month validity.

The applicant can enter and exit Indonesia many times during the course of a year with this visa. But, since each stay is only permitted for a maximum of 60 days, he will need to depart Indonesia frequently.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR OBTAINING BUSINESS VISA INDONESIA

• Completed application for an Indonesian visa
• A passport must be valid for at least six months after the day you plan to enter Indonesia.
• Passport copy
• Passport-size photos requirements are:

Dimensions: 3cm x 4cm or 4cm x 6 cm;

White background;

Taken within three months;

The face must be fully visible;

No headgear is allowed unless it is for religious purposes.

• A copy of the round-trip or onward ticket
• Cover letter for a business visa from a firm, group, or institution.
• The company/organization/full institution’s address, phone number, and the quantity of days and entries for which the visa is requested must all be included in the letter.
• Invitation letter from the Indonesian business, group, or institution you will be visiting.
• The letter must specify whether they are responsible for the applicant’s lodging and maintenance expenses as well as the company/organization/full institution’s address and phone number, and the number of days and entries the applicant is obtaining the visa for.
• A receipt proving the payment of the visa fee
• The applicant will need a visa authorization letter from the Indonesian Directorate General of Immigration if he is asking for a multiple-entry business visa. This must be obtained on the applicant’s behalf by the sponsor in Indonesia.
• A copy of the current residence permit or visa is required if the applicant is a non-citizen of the nation where he currently resides.

STEPS FOR OBTAINING AN INDONESIA BUSINESS VISA

Contact the EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA  or the consulate of Indonesia.

Before starting the visa application process, it’s recommended to contact the embassy or consulate of Indonesia in the home country to learn about the specific requirements and procedures for obtaining a business visa. Some embassies may require the applicant to make an appointment, while others may allow you to submit the application by mail.

Collect the required documents

The applicant will need to gather all the required documents for the visa application. This typically includes a valid passport with at least six months validity, a completed visa application form, a recent passport-sized photograph, a letter of invitation from an Indonesian company or sponsor, and proof of financial ability to cover the expenses during the applicant’s stay in Indonesia.

Pay the visa fee

The applicant must pay the visa fee, which can vary depending on the nationality and the type of visa he is applying for. The embassy or consulate can provide the applicant with the current visa fees.

Submit the documents

Once the applicant has completed the application and gathered all the required documents, he can submit them to the embassy or consulate either in person or by mail. If submitting in person, make sure to bring all the original documents and a photocopy of each document.

Wait for the visa to be processed

The processing time for a business visa in Indonesia can vary depending on the type of visa. It’s recommended to apply well in advance of your intended travel dates to allow for sufficient processing time. Once your visa is approved, The applicant will need to collect it from the embassy or consulate.

HOW MUCH DOES A BUSINESS VISA COST IN INDONESIA?

The cost of a business visa for Indonesia can vary depending on the type of visa and the country where you are applying. In general, the fees are as follows. 

• Visa on arrival: USD 35
• Single-entry business visa: USD 50
• Multiple-entry business visa: USD 100

BUSINESS VISA EXTENSION IN INDONESIA

If the applicant wants to extend the business visa, he must do it at the Indonesian Immigration Office before the existing visa expires.

He can apply for an extension up to four times, each for a period of 30 to 60 days, and the charge will be the same as the original visa fee.

The applicant does not need to submit an extension request if the fee is a multiple-entry fee. A fee of roughly USD 70 must be paid for each day he stays if he comes without a visa and stays for more than 30 days.
